We are always looking for new faces to share unique backgrounds, perspectives, experiences, and skills with our students.

“It was really cool to have lots of professionals invested in our learning.”

How individuals can help

Our work would not be possible without our incredible mentor and volunteer team.

We are always looking for new faces to share unique backgrounds, perspectives, experiences, and skills with our students. Please consider joining our volunteer or mentor team.

Volunteer at a workshop.

This opportunity is available for both our School Year Workshops or our Summer Skill Building Program. Commitment is typically 3-4 hours total, including a training session, prep, and the duration of the workshop.

Mentor a student.

This commitment is approximately 4-6 hours/week for 6 weeks over the summer. Student/mentor relationships are incredibly important for student learning and being able to build a trusting relationship where they can ask questions and explore the field of architecture and design.

How organizations can help

In order to make change at a larger scale, often we need organization-wide support.

Please consider supporting our students with the assets available at your company and help change who has access to and representation in architecture and design.

Host a student intern.

At BOSS, we recognize the best way to learn is to apply your skills in the real world. Internship opportunities are a great way for students to get a taste of what the life of a design professional is like, while bolstering their resume and portfolio for future scholarship and job opportunities.

Sponsor our programs.

Our school year workshops are free for students and our students are paid for their time and hard work both in the summer skill building program and internships. If you are looking for ways to get involved and make an immediate impact in the field, please consider sponsoring our programs to continue to provide students with impactful, hands-on experiences.

We are changing the face of architecture.
